Will this technique work to merge my updated iPhoto library with my updated Aperture library?

I have recently upgraded my iPhoto to 9.3 and Aperture to 3.3 and so now they share a common library format.

I note in the linked tech note above that I can now use Aperture to merge multiple iPhoto libraries, but I was wondering if that also applies to merging my upgraded Aperture library with my upgraded iPhoto library such that I only have one library rather than two.

Ideally I'd use iPhoto for day-to-day organisation of my photos but use Aperture for editing RAW photos and when I need finer grained tools such as straightening (iPhoto does not allow you to enter a specific rotation angle like Aperture).

Cheers
