Im looking at buying a Apple Ibook G4,mac osx for $300. It will be for my partner who willbe using final cut pro for his studies in Film and Media. Is it worth it, and will it work for this program? it has 1.42ghz processor,768 mb memory.

To answer your question, no. This is a 7-year-old Mac, too slow for your purposes, and, in my opinion, overpriced.

No iBook has an Intel processor (they have PowerPC processors, an older architecture).
