I was looking to see if you change the theme of the mac os x, was looking on the net, to see some websites have different themes to download but reading some of the comments from people who have, its caused major problems, so I just wondered if there were any official mac themes.....

You can change the Desktop photo is you wish.
Open System Preferences > Desktop & Screen Saver > Desktop
And System Preferences > General. From there you can change the color from blue to graphite from the Appearance tab.
There are no "overall" themes on a Mac like you see in Windows.
And by the way, third party software that modifies folders or icons can cause problems on a Mac.
