I cannot access FaceTime using Ipad2 ... I sign in, it shows me "this is your contact email" and then takes me right back to sign in page. Help!

There's no sign-in page for FaceTime. Perhaps you are thinking of something else?

There's no activation page, per se. Are you referring to Settings > FaceTime ?
You need to make sure that you've got FaceTime switched to "On" and an Apple ID entered. After that, thats, all there is to do. You will see the FaceTime settings page. To make a call using FaceTime, just go to Contacts, select someone that has an iPhone, and tap the "FaceTime" button at the bottom of their contact info.
yes first time we used it, it asks for apple password. but just fails
