It is extremely unlikely that Front Row will be re-created for Mountain Lion, but if you want to voice your opinion on why it should use this link:
Where to send product feedback to Apple:
http://www.apple.com/feedback/
but you will not receive a reply.
Find Frontrowforlionhere mac.softpedia.com. Works fine on Lion.

The question was about Front Row for Mountain Lion, so that hack may not work.
I know Klaus, but he is missing it now, running Lion.
Thank you for the link but :
With this app :
photos and movies outside itunes work
But everything in itunes don't work ... (music, movies, podcast...)
As new MBP have HDMI, is it possible that Mountain Lion have a media center app ?
That was my question
We cannot speculate until Apple announces the full specification of Mountain Lion, but it will presumably work much the same way as in Lion.
It Is Unlikely That They Will Add Front Row.
Give plex a try. It's a great app. Also xbmc
If there are so many people lamenting the Front Row disappearance, it is not that they don't know Plex or are too lazy to install it, it is just because, like me, they DON'T LIKE IT (too complex/cumbersome/inelegant); and none of the alternatives is much better.
It is VERY irritating that Apple dropped Front Row without any replacement, especially since it would have cost them almost nothing to keep it (all the actual work is done in libraries shared with DVD Player) ...
I think the best way I can fix this annoying is that;
1. Download Application for your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad called "Remote", then, install it to your device(s) and,
2. Make sure to turn those devices on and make your Mac machine connecting with the device(s), and
3. Enjoy it. At least, you will get control on your iTune both of Music, Video, Podcast, and etc...
Let's wait and see if Apple will issue another new Application to use with Apple Remote (Menu Button) in the future or how they will fix it.
😉
I've tried Plex several times in the past, including just a month ago. I don't like it. Unless I want to rename all my video files to fit their naming convention, I get many many improperly matched movies and all my TV shows are unmatched or mismatched and improperly categorized with no way I can find to fix it. Front row is simple and does all I need. So my Mac Mini media center stays un-updated so I can continue to use Front Row.

I am in the exact same position, for the exact same reasons.
But what really pi**ses me off is that since Snow Leopard cannot not run on the latest (2011, 2012) Mac Mini, I cannot upgrade to a more powerful HTPC hardware.
So in addition to making loyal Apple customers angry, they managed to loose revenue.
And all that for what : protect Apple TV ???
But Apple TV is NOT an alternative to a true Mac Mini based HTPC !.
Just got a new MBP with mountain lion. Much to my disappointment, Frontrow can no longer be used. Such a wonderful interface. I guess it's just to make more money selling AppleTVs. Remote apps for iphone won't do a decent job like frontrow, which was to simple to use ! So now you need a remote app on your phone for iTunes, one for Keynote, one for VLC ! Allo ? Is simplicity no longer the key word for Apple ?
I agree with everything above, and I can't say more because Apple keeps deleting any posts that critisize them. Let's see if this post gets deleted.
I really miss FrontRow. I am going to honestly try these third party solutions, but I honestly don't understand Apples descision on this.
It's very simple: Front Row was written for older versions of OS X and is not compatible with either Lion or Mountain Lion.
