    Welcome to the Apple community.

Whilst your iPad is connected to iTunes on your computer, go to the photos tab when the iPad is selected from the devices list on the left-hand side and uncheck the photo albums you wish to remove from the iPad.

Only partly correct.  When you create a photo folder on the iPad, it is not in the list and you can't check it off or delete it. At least that's my issue with this iPad 3.

I have a folder I want to get rid of, but I can't.  Any other thoughts?

    Thanks

    Hi,

If you have created album with iPad say in Photos App then simply hit the edit button and an X will appear in the top left corner of the album icon and you simply tap this to delet. It does not delete the photos, just the album.

Recetly this stopped working for me and I had to do a complete shut down, not just a quick sleep, and when restarted iPad it was working again.

If you created the album in say iPhoto or Aperture and synched it to iPa via iTunes then you need to delete it in iPhoto/Aperture or remove it from synch list in itunes to keep on Mac but remove from iPad.

This process does not work for me. I have a large number of photos on my iPad 4 that were synced to the iPad via iTunes. I cannot delete them following any of the steps above. The Delete button on the iPad stays grayed out. No checkmarks appear when I use the Edit button. When I look at iTunes, I have it set to not sync ANY photos.

I don't own an iPad (waiting for it to come in the mail) but I do have an iPhone. If the Photos app is the same, go to your camera roll and click the icon in the top right hand corner (it looks like the share button you see in other apps) select the photos you want to delete and click delete in the lower left hand corner.
