Should i buy pages now? and will it support docs in the cloud?

Currently, none of the desktop iWork apps automatically sync with iCloud, it must be done manually via iCloud.com or iTunes. If & when Apple ever updates these apps to take advantage of iCloud is anyone's guess. "Documents in the Cloud" was originally announed a couple of years ago when Lion was announced. I'm not holding my breath any more.

Mountain Lion by itself will not help unless apps are updated.
I agree but surely they will update the Application(s). If they don't they might as well discontinue iWork altogether.
