Now we've all had our little joke... (I always enjoy a joke as soon as I know about it) - if you have several email addresses, from different providers, each is a separate mail account. They would be listed separately in the Mail application.

@me.com, which was MobileMe and should be migrated to iCloud, is one such account. MobileMe used to provide the facility for checking other email accounts, i.e. other addresses then @me.com, so that you could see all your different emails in the one place. iCloud does not provide this facility, which will be one of the points raised in the Support page you came to here from.

Love your comments on mail accounts. Also note you seem to know what you are talking about. Our kids talked us into switching to Apple (I did have an Apple in 1981, but switched to PC in 1982).

So I have comcast mail I use on my Mac mini. At some point--no idea how--I was able to set up the Comcast account to also send to my husband MacBook Air. He doesn't use it. Today I'm sick so trying to get to my mail on the laptop and it is a month out-of-date.

Altho it has downloaded everything new I've received, it hasn't marked mail as read and the Sent box is empty.

I would call my kids, but my husband was hospitalized this weekend and they both came flying to our aid and need a break...

Thank you for your patience...
