Q: I just upgraded Aperture 3 and am not able to import photos.   My Nikon D5000 shows it begins the transfer process and then stops after 10 seconds.

I just downloaded the Aperture 3 upgrade and now I am unable to import photos from my Nikon D5000 camera.   The import process begins within Aperture by showing it is "loading assets" and my camera begins to transfer images, but after approximately 10 seconds the import stops.

iMac (21.5-inch Late 2009), Mac OS X (10.7.4)

This update seems to be really sensitive to any abnormalities in the library. Many users are reporting a wide range of issues that have been cleared up by doing the troubleshooting steps shown in Aperture 3: Troubleshooting Basics

 

If you have not done so already you give the steps a shot. Post back if that does not fix the problem,
