Notes don't appear in Inbox nor the Notes section on my iMac.

i'm a Senior user who desperately needs lots of notes to augment a sagging memory. Now , my notes can't find their way home.

When I make a Note in "Notes" on my 2 iTouchs or iPad, they travel via the Cloud to each portable but not to my desktop iMac. (Lion)

When I get back to the office all the new Notes sync (or have already synced) with all the portable devices but even though the iMac's Mail preferences have the Mailbox Behavior's "Show Noted in Inbox" checked, they aren't anywhere to be found.

Any ideas would be dearly appreciated. (I'm missing a lot of free dinners.)
