Jun 18, 2012 7:11 PM in response to yvettedurrettby yvettedurrett,ok thanks. So if someone steals it and does a factory reset, don't they have to set it up through itunes to use it?

Jun 18, 2012 7:15 PM in response to yvettedurrettby rbrylawski,Yes they do. But Apple will not get involved in lost or stolen iPads, so if that's what your issue is and you have lost or someone stole your iPad, there's not much you can do, except change all your passwords (Apple ID, Mail, Apps where a credit card is tied) and file a police report.

Jun 18, 2012 7:29 PM in response to rbrylawskiby yvettedurrett,Thanks and i have done all that. I know thier policy but I was just wondering if it was a matter of that CAN'T help or WON'T help...It really *** that someone can still your IPAD and click one button and reset it to make it theirs.

Jun 18, 2012 7:33 PM in response to yvettedurrettby rbrylawski,It really does **** that anyone would take something not belonging to them. Apple's policy is not all that unusual. There are many electronics companies who won't get involved in theft situations. I'm sorry for your loss. Do make sure you've changed all your passwords ASAP.
