How can I sync my iPhone over wifi with my MacBook that is connected over Ethernet?

I have my MacBook connected by Ethernet because it's faster than wifi. I would like to sync my iPhone to iTunes over wifi but this only works if the Mac is connected to the same wifi adapter. Another issue is that I need two wifi adapters to cover my house so if the iPhone is not connected to the same adapter as the MacBook, it also doesn't work.

My wifi adapters are not AirPort. One was provided by my ISP and the other is connected to that one by ethernet.
