How to disable abort on drop frames?

I am trying to archive hundreds of old DV tapes. Unfortunately every time a tape loses timecode the whole preceeding capture is aborted and lost. Is there a way of disabling the "automatic abort when drop frames are found" as invariably the scenes drop frames near the end of the tapes and I am wasting hours and hours of time recapturing and stopping the tapes just before the empty or drop frame bit and then restarting manually after the timecode restarts.

just be aware that you may not be able to recapture the clip with any accuracy. If you have a drive failure, you may be out of luck. Much better to have a workflow where there are no gaps on the tape and you mark an out at the end of the tape and then rewind and mark an in. I always make sure the shooter knows I want the tapes tails out.
