Not if you distribute them as is. However, a store you sell them thru might apply some DRM to protect them in case they're copied.
There is an argument that anti-piracy measures are not required or beneficial. Songs on iTunes are no longer protected against copying. The publisher O'Reilly distributes their ebooks without protection too.
