Jun 19, 2012 8:35 AM in response to Jamalmalaakby KiltedTim,You can't "bring it back". You will have to restore it as a new device and start over. The restrictions passcode is part of the iPhone backup. If you restore the backup, the restrictions will be restored as well.

Jun 19, 2012 8:41 AM in response to Jamalmalaakby KiltedTim,If it was that easy to get around a forgotten passcode, the passcode wouldn't serve much purpose, would it? Next time, either use a passcode you will remember or write it down.

Why doesn't this work "running iOS 5.0 & above"--did Apple change that file to hide/scramble the PIN?
In any case, if the OP has a backup then the Restore procedure should work too, yes?

Yes.

No. Restoring just restores it as it was when backed up, i.e. restricted.
