Q: Macbook pro powercord recall free replacement it just went out

There's a replacement program for older T-plug adapters, but not for L-plug adapters.

If there was, it would be on Apple's website and/or Knowledge Base.  Did you search at those places?

If you have AppleCare, give them a call and let them deal with it.  If not, take your MBP to your local Apple Store or AASP.  Let them properly diagnose the problem and provide you w/a repair estimate and/or check out the following:  CLICKY CLICK------> Troubleshooting MagSafe Adapters

I've had the apple store replace one previously, but I know there has been no recall that I know of.  It would be posted on the website if it had like the other post stated.  If you end up buying one, Amazon has them pretty cheap.
