Hello, Last night I connected my iPhone to charger 2 hours later it blew up, there was a loud bang and a flash and the plug blew into 2 parts right next to where my son was sleeping.

Obviously I was furious, so today iv been on the phone to apple, and sent them the pictures.

I was asked for my chargers serial number, it didn't have one, he carries don the incestigation and it came back the charger wasn't an original apple product.

How can it not be original when it came boxed brand new wih my phone? I have asked 13 people

All of them haven't got a serial number on their chargers?

I want your opinion on what I should do about this?

I have pictures. Not sure how to add them?

Thank you

iPhone 4, iOS 5.1.1

Physically take it in to your local Apple Store.

And don't be so quick to blame it on the charger. It's a passive piece of electronic equipment.

If it actually "blew up" as you say, it's most likely because of a wiring fault or power surge. It gave its life to protect the phone.
