open-gl app keeping nvidia enabled...
Is there a way to determine which program is using open-gl and keeping my discrete video card enabled? I've tried all the obvious ones.
MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012), Mac OS X (10.7.4)

get an application called gfxCardStatus, it lets you have one or the other card on at all times (no idea why you'd want to do this though it already switches automatically)

Unfortunatly when I run gfxCardStatus it says that my current machine is not supported. 😟
In my case I figured out the app that was keeping my nvidia in-use.(process of elimination) It was MS Lync. Unfortunatly thats rather important one to keep running in the background -- and I can also see how this would fall into the "screen capture" category of apps since it does screen sharing for meetings...etc..
