mac mini disconnects from desktop

I share my Mac Mini with my desktop.


For some time it disappears from the Finder Sidebar and nothing I can do other than restarting it completely fixes it.


Any ideas?


My desktop runs lion and the mini is snow leopard.

Mac mini, Mac OS X (10.6.7)
