Q: Poblems with sparsebundle size in new Time Capsule

Since my TimeCapsule was old and filling up, I decided to buy a larger one (2TB). I copied the .sparsebundle to the newer as explained above (it took a day). When I try to perform my first backup in the 2Tb TC, TimeMachine says that the size of the backup is 300Mb and that there is only 200Mb free while the sparsebundle copied in the new TC is 350MB and I have 1,6Tb free. It seems that the copied .sparsebundle is limited to 500Mb and I cannot resize it (DiskUtility cannot increase its size, only reduce it).

Any ideas about how to resume the backups?

A:

You're trying to increase the size of the sparsebundle, right?

If so, were you using the blue box in #A8 (not the yellow one)?

Indeed I tried #A8 but the size does not change. I'm getting this final screen (after trying to set new size 1000 Gb and TC reseting itself to 497,96Gb, which is the size of the old TC)

It says (three last lines) that "The partition will not be modified"+"In this disk you cannot write nor create partitions"+"The disk is too small to allow (or contain) partitions".

I've also read the "pink part" of #A8 but as a "mere mortal" I would prefer a more conservative solution.

In addition I must say that I followed Apple instructions without getting the final desired result....
