Unable to power on my iPhone 4s

Hi, the iphone went dark at some point today with still plenty of battery power left.

Since then i've been unable to power it back on.

Tried holding to top and home buttons for 15 seconds, then pressing the top button, pluggin into wall, into mac with no result at all.

It is 100% un-responsive

please help!

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.2)

Plug into Wall again and Reset until it begins to start, often takes around 20 seconds of holding both buttons while on charger.

OK nothing worked and the iPhone was about 8 months old so I went back to Apple and they replaced it.

They said that one of the markers for water damage was on which i found surprising as it was never exposed to water and it stoped working while on my desk at the office which is perfectly dry.

I asked if it could be due to body sweat - the 'genius' basically said it didn't matter since he was changing it free of charge...

fine - problem solved

thanks Applelove0709 and brad805 for your input
