Q: Macbook Pro 2,2 wireless issue (not the usual one). Stalls every 10 seconds

Hi, hoping someone can help here.

Currently running an old Macbook pro 2,2 and lion 10.7.4

I think this issue has only come up since the last OS X update but cannot guarantee that. Basically every 10 seconds the wireless connection stalls for about 4-5 seconds, then continues. It's not a dropped signal, it just stops. I'll post a ping output to the bottom of this that will discribe it very well.

I've narrowed it down to the airport on this laptop. It does it with both access points i have in the house, other devices and computers connected to the same access points work fine, wired ethernet connection on this macbook works fine. Tried all the tips on a google search to no avail, but they seem to be more for dropped connections.

Here's a ping output pinging a google web address. Where the long ping times are it stops for a few seconds, then the 5 long ones all appear at once.
