I suspect you will find them in the user account you migrated. Open the /Users/ folder on your hard drive and see if there aren't two user accounts listed. The one you are currently using that has the house icon (your Home folder) and the other one should be the one you migrated.
You need to log out of the account you are currently using then log into the migrated account. All your files and data will be there and will be accessible.

It says I don't have permission to see its contents?!?
You need to log into the user account you migrated. For example, if you configured your new computer with a user account called "newcomputer" and you migrated over the account from your old computer that was called "oldcomputer," then log out of "newcomputer" and log into "oldcomputer." You should have permission then.
I had same issue. I don't have permission to see it's contents. I tried going back and forth logging in and out of each account to no avail.
I migrated my photos from a PC to Mac last night. This morning it said it had completed successfully, but I can't find my files. Should they have gone automatically to iphoto? - I can't see them there. I've followed the advice about finding another user as I did the MA after I had set up the mac. However the only other user I have is a guest user and they are not in iphoto there either?!
Help please!
