So I just updated my ipod and then went to use it in my speaker and it was working at first. Then, it kept pausing the song and then stopped playing all together. It now works through my headphones and speaker, but won't play out loud! It looks like it's playing, but no sound comes out. I've tried resetting it and it's not working! Pleas help!!
iPod touch (4th generation)
- Try another pair of headphones. Also, insert and remove the headphone plude a dozen or more times
- Try restoring the iPod. First from backup and if problem persists, restore to factory defaults/new iPod
- If yu still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
Do you get this type of problem on all songs? If not, then the songs have this problem might have different format compared to the ones working. 
I left it in the speaker to charge all night and kept plugging and unplugging my earphones and it's working now! Thank you for your help!:)
