Adobe photoshop cs5 compatible?

I have been reading that adobe photoshop cs5 does not run well with Lion. However all these complaints were last year and I can't seem to find if the issues have been fixed. Does anyone know if it's fixed now?

thanks

Since Adobe only sells the current version (directly from them), you'd have to look for 5.5 from a place such as MacMall. But if you're going to spend the money on an upgrade, you may as well skip over 5.5 and go directly to CS6.

But just to note again, not everyone is having any issues with CS 5 in Lion. It can't hurt anything to install what you have and use it for a couple of weeks to see if it will work for you. Then you don't have any extra cost.

Oh! Since you were posting in the Lion forums, I assumed that's what you were already running as your normal OS. How much the upgrade costs depends on what you're upgrading from, and to.

For Photoshop CS6, the cost is $199 from either the regular Photoshop software, or the Extended version.

For Photoshop Extended CS6, the cost is $399 from either previous version.

There is no way to just upgrade to 5.5?

Actually, no. I looked into it again to make sure, and have to adjust my comments.

PS CS5.5 doesn't exist. In any CS5.5 suite, Photoshop is updated to 5.1, not 5.5. The only change to PS in those packages was to integrate it with the other titles so PS would work correctly with those apps which were updated to 5.5.

So if you do want to upgrade PS, your only option is CS6.
