Siri is still in beta. It will work fully in the UK when it's fully baked.

We are quite rare....

Jul 10, 2012 2:33 PM in response to tonefoxby simon_a6,I don't think you are rare at all. It's a valid question.
This phone has been out a while now, and people are already talking about the iPhone 5... if that is what they are going to call it.
The iphone 4s's crowning glory is Siri, and in the UK it doesn't do what this person has asked.
So when is this vital part of it due to even "begin" working in the UK? I appreciate a lot has to be done to make it work; whether that be subscribing etc. But surely there is a rough date of something so important?
While we are on the subject, for generall users who use the iphone 4s for a lot of WhatsApping, and email, how long does the battery last for now? The one that that seriously concerns me is that whereas in just about any other smartphone, you can have a backup battery and change it if it does - with the iPhone, if it does, you have had it.

Likely this Fall with the release of iOS6.

Jul 10, 2012 2:48 PM in response to simon_a6by Julian Wright,The link I posted is from the UK site. They would not be advertising features (such as Restaurant lookups) that won't work in the UK (Apple have got into trouble for doing that before).
At the bottom of the page it states:
More languages. More countries.
Siri now understands more languages and is optimised for more countries and regions around the world:
That's the UK flag they've used there...

Jul 10, 2012 2:51 PM in response to simon_a6by simon_a6,Sorry but I have to say..... that page is not UK. It says it is optimized for UK... and others.
It doesn't say anything about Autumn. And I am not convinced that is a UK page, as it is "*.com".... and the picture is clearly American!

It doesn't say anything about Autumn
Top-right of the previous page it shows:
It really helps if you actually read what people are linking to... Geez!
