I was screwing around with my macBook Pro in terminal and all of a suddent it said type in the pass word. I did so and now it says bash-3.2# does that mean that everything is alright? or is it like a warning

You either typed ->
sudo bash

sudo -sType: exit and the prompt will change to the $ sign. You managed to produce a "root " shell. That's not a good idea if you don't know what you are doing.

What is root?
The root user ignores all permissions on files. You may alter and delete any file on the system. Be careful in root.

Screwing around like that is likely to result in data loss.
