When I sync iPhone calendars (Outlook) using iTunes none of the appointments made on the phone transfer to laptop.  Appts made on laptop do transfer to iPhone.  How can I fix this so both update?  Thanks

    Check Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>scroll down to the Calendars section and tap Default Calendar.  Here make sure you have selected your Outlook calendar as your default and not, for example, the calendar under On My iphone.  If you change this setting, try entering a new event on your iPhone and see if it syncs to Outlook now.

    It is set for "calendar" under "From My PC".  other segment is iCloud which I do not use.

    That sounds correct then.  If you are syncing Outlook via usb (rather than via iCloud) you may want to try resetting your sync history as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1692.  As a precaution, I recommend you back up your Outlook calendars and contacts (by exporting them as a .pst file) prior to doing this.
