Only part of the email downloaded in Apple Mail

I am currently using Apple Mail on Lion with IMAP enabled for emails. A couple of times I have had only part of an email downloaded. The full email is viewable on the iPhone and through a web browser. Is there anyway to resync an email to have it finish loading the message and attachments? I have tried to Sync the full Apple Mail program but the email did not change. I am assuming this problem is occuring when the internet loses the connection.

Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

This may not help the Mail situation, but you should be able to go to the email server directly, such as Google, and get the message. From there, you can forward the message to yourself possibly and see if Mail gets the whole message. .

Yes, I am able to get the full message on the email server directly, but I need to have a full copy for offline work.

Have you tried to resend the message to see if Mail receives the whole message with attachment. If it receives the message with all it's contents then maybe it was just a temporary glitch. You seem to indicate that it doesn't consistently not download the full message.
