Q: Can I use the Camera Connection Kit to transfer photos and videos from my iPhone to my iPad?

While travelling I don't have always the possibility to access my computer to sync and manage photo transfers.

Photostream is nice but does not sync the videos.

How can I easily transfer videos from my iPhones (4 and 4s) to my ipad?

Example now: family holiday and nice videos from the beach and playground. Do I really have to start my laptop in the evening to transfer the videos?

Hopefully there will be somebody with a good idea or maybe even apple may consider this somehow.

iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi + Cellular, iOS 5.1.1

Play with it. But I have hooked my iTouch up to my iPad via the CCK and it sees the contents of the DCIM folder. Can't recall if it only saw photos or if it saw videos too, but I've gotten it to work.

You could at least buy the CCK, give it a try before you go, if it works, keep it, if not return it. You can buy them at places like walmart and best buy, both have good return policies with receipt.

You can use the camera connection kit to copy photos and videos from an iPhone 4S to the iPad (I've just tried it), and it should also work with the iPhone 4 - I've used it in the past with an iPhone 3G and a first gen iPad.

    From http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4101 :

In addition to supporting digital cameras and SD cards, you can also import photos and videos from your iPhone*, iPod touch, and iPod nano (5th generation) using the Camera Connector.

Though the ' * ' doesn't appear to be defined on the page.
