how come my husband's name and mine alternate on my sent emails?

I am so confused lately. For some reason when I send an email these days, it alternates between myself and my husband as the sender eventhough I am logged in under my email address? Where can I go and check why his name is showing up. Is this and icloud issue?

Any new mail you create, will always use the address of the account that you have highlighted on the left-hand side of the mail application window. If you haven't specifically selected any individual account (for example, you have selected the collective inbox), then mail will use the default mail account, which is the first account in your list of accounts.

in each individual email page at the top, but under the address and subject line, you see the from window has the double arrows- up and down..you can click on them and the list of usable email addresses to send FROM drops down. Select the one you want to use as a FROM.

It may be a bit of effort required to do, each and every email- but if it bothers you....

But hten, come to think of it, I have seen, probably in mail>preferences, a place to choose the return address- one selection is alternate at random or such... Or you can designate... then log in, designate and send away, and let your husband worry about lowering the seat, as it were...

I just looked: mail>peferences>composing
