What happened with Snow Leopard and Photoshop CS5?

I know that photoshop uses a ton of resources and RAM but it was remarkably smooth and efficient with Leopard. Why is Snow Leopard so different? I can't even use it anymore and I can't afford to purchase a new mac. Is there a fix or do I need a ton of more RAM?

Thanks,

bob

I may have found my own solution. I didn't know that CS5 had an update to address a lot of bugs. I'm betting that Snow Leopard is one of them. The version is 12.4.
