SDRAM stands for Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory. It

is the generic family term that refers to pretty much all RAM that is

used in computing devices these days.


SoDIMM RAM refers to small outline dual in-line memory module.

It is a physically smaller alternative to reqular DIMM. So, it just

defines a certain shape and size factor that the memory ICs are

mounted on.

SoDimm's are one type SDRAM and all the newer Intel iMac's, Mac Mini's and MacBooks use SoDimm's
