Q: I want to delete my pictures off iPhone because I want to free up space on the Phone. I have the pics on iCloud on my computer in my pics fdlder. I do not want to delete off computer, will it?

Yes, if you delete the pictures from your iPhone they will also be deleted from the "Photo Stream" folder on your computer.

 

To solve this you need to move/copy the pictures into another folder on your computer. You will then be able to delete them from your iPhone and they will not delete from your computer.

    How do I know if the pictures on my computer are in a safe folder or the photo stream folder? I have to go under 'my pictures' on my computer to see them but I have never copied them to another folder.

    Open the iCloud control panel on your computer and click "Options" next to "Photo Stream". The pictures must not be copied into either of the folders listed, any other folder is fine.

     

    Before you delete all the photos from your phone I would recommend that you only delete one, at first, to check that it is not deleted from your computer.
