quick look issue

I'm having some issues with the Quick Look feature in OS 10.6.8. I can see documents but audio and video won't play.

This is the message in Console:

Finder[143]: Prime failed (-66680); will stop (72000/0 frames)

I have trashed Quick Look prefs and the cache and the problem persists. The problem occurs in other user accounts as well.

I recently did updates to ProTools and Ableton Live.

Any ideas what could be causing this issue?
