When I turn off my iPhone, it immediately restarts itself. Any suggestions on how to keep it shut off?

My problem isn't turning off the iPhone. I am able to get it to shut down by pressing the top button and sliding the arrow. However, after I do so it turns itself back on, and it does so within a few seconds. I thought maybe the case I have was causing it to do so, but I have tried turning it off without the case on- it's no use. This causes my battery to dwindle when I'm not even using the device. Please help!

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1

hello,

i have the same problem with my iphone 4s - 16GB.it does the same. when i swich it OFF after 5 sec it turns back him self.

please help 🙂

any suggestions?

Is it plugged in when this happens? I've noticed that if my iPhone is plugged in to power or my computer, it will act as you describe. If it is not plugged into anything, then it stays turned off. Hope this helps.

Iam having the same problem

Did this get solved

I can turn off while it's connected to PC or charger

But try to turn off while not connected to cable just restarts

Tried the clean charge port with tooth brush

Restored

Still doing this

Any advice most welcome
