Q: Cannot fine icloud on my iMac to get to stored data. Does not show on the desktop

I cannot find an icloud image on my desktop to get my files?

There isn't supposed to be any iCloud icon on your desktop. You can access your documents in the cloud using your web browser and the website iCloud.com

Yes, got to web site and got access to most of my information by clicking on the appropriate icon. Could not get word files. When I clicked iWorks it wants me to buy an App. Cannot get my Word files.

So got help, but need a little more.

Very good and this worked. Using Pages is a little different, but it makes the system work on four devices. An interesting side is when I switched from me.com to icloud (keep the same email address) I lost all my Apple emails sent to me at that address. Part of the changover I guess.
