MacBook Air (11-Inch, Mid 2012) Boot Camp and VGA

I have the Mid 2012 11-Inch MacBook Air, and when using Windows 7 under Boot Camp, I can use my Mini Display or ThunderBolt to VGA to connect it to a 19-Inch Dell Monitor I've had for years. But whenever I try to connect to a TV or Projector via VGA I get no picture, yet the display is detected. I am able to use the TV and Projector in question with Lion from the same MacBook Air, so I can't figure why Windows can't use it.

I would have thought there would have been no problems with this working as it is a new product, and Apple would have all the necessary drivers available.

Is there a driver or an easy fix to make this work?

Could I use the Mini Display or ThunderBolt to DVI and convert the DVI to VGA?

Thanks, Daniel
