Bootcamp Throwing errors

Okay My imac has the Intel Core 2 Duo, its a 64 bit machine (running the latest osx Lion) I know that its a 64bit ecause i checked system info as well as the App store will not download and install apps that can only run on 64 bit if you dont have one, (as I have seen with my Macbook Pro) so why is bootcamp throwing an error that it cant install bc X64 isnt Supported on this computer.

It will however install the drivers individually.. which I cant figure out..However there are certain drivers stating I need to first install dp64install.exe or something

PLease help

your processor is 64-bit, your firmware is not. I assume it is on the list of those that won't be able to run 64-bit kernel mode or Mountain Lion as a result.

You should copy the folder to disk, use Troubleshoot Compatibility Mode on BOOTCAMP64.msi

Oddly enough some have trouble with SP1 and not others.

Lion will install and use 32-bit EFI and 32-bit kernel mode, but OS X is moving to 64-bit mode and 64-bit drivers. More like Windows 64-bit has been.
