What kind of files did you burn to the CD? From an application that Windows understands?
The CD is recognized on the PC (I tried both Windows7 and the other windows OS) but the files on it are not visible on the PCs. they are visible on the mac. I used the burn method described in Disk Utility on Mac to enable multiple burns to the CD. It is a CD-R not a CD-RW -- don't know if that is a problem. When I burned the same files onto a CD-R using Nero on the PC, the files were visible on both the PC and Mac.
Hope this helps. Thanks for your help.
jpg files. when I burned the same files to a CD-R using nero on the PC they were visible on both Mac and PC.
did you finalize the disk?
There is no finalize option in the Disk Utility.
Thanks. So it is a known fact that CD-Rs burned on mac with disk Utility multisession options are not readable by windows. However, using Nero on a PC with multisession option creates CDs readable on mac. I guess the best solution is to use CD-RWs?
Or you could purchase Roxio Toast burning software for Mac.
I think multi-session discs are readable in PC using this software as you can create a multi-ssession discs that can be formatted to be read by both PCs and Macs
Thanks. I think I will just use Nero on the PC when I want multisession CDs as I already have it.
