Why is changing one's credit card information such an ordeal??

Maybe it's just me, but an attempt to update my billing information on me.com (and, presumably, on iTunes, etc.) after a banking account change should be a bit more than straightforward, ala Apple experinence expectations. NOT SO!! Still have no clue how to get to the golden form/site/page/popup with an actual card information prompt. Totally mindless. Reminds me of the IRS.
