Q: Why do I receive an error message that my printer is paused?

What kind of printer is it? Is this after printing? After updating? Have you tried deleting and re-adding the printer?

Dunno if you are trying to add an IP printer, if so, the following resolved my issues: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1522307?start=0&tstart=0. Bascially, delete and then add the printer and choose HP JetDirect Socket. Props to Pahu from Sydney.

ACTUALLY, the following did it: https://discussions.apple.com/message/19864148#19864148. While the solution on my other post did add my printer it did not do so correctly. Everything I printed came out as gobbledygook.
