Is there any way to add lion server email, contacts, and calendars to an android device?
We have a new employee that needs access on her phone, would be nice to get everything to sync

Mail is IMAP so the built in mail tool should work.
iCal is CalDAV so look here for clients http://caldav.calconnect.org/implementations/clients.html
Address Book is CardDAV so look here for clients http://carddav.calconnect.org/implementations/clients.html
Good luck.

Putting info into a samsung galaxy S II for email
User name
password
imap server
port
SSL
It says I can put an optional IMAP prefix (not sure what that is)
I copy all the settings from my iphone (it works right now) but I get an error
Set up could not finish
Connot safley connect to server. (SSL handshake aborted:
Ok so I can get mail to work if I select "Plain" in the server admin app under mail-advanced-security.
I use SSL on both the SMPT and IMAP so this should be ok correct?
I am still secure correct?
actually it doesn't work, so I can recieve email but cannot send... in order to get the SMPT to work I selected TLS cert because it would error if I selected a SSL cert. But I cannot send out email? Any suggestions?
I am beginning to recall running into this a while ago. The default mail application on Android does not work well with SSL if I recall. I will look up my notes to find evidence. I do recall recommending the purchase of a third party mail application to replace the built in one. Let me see if I can find that note.
Thank you for your help!
Please let me know what you come up with
Thanks
There is this a recent post http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=20175 that seems to detail the issue you are having. I looked through my notes and this goes back to 2010. Recommended that the customer get a third party mail client. This resolved the connection issue.
Hi there, sorry to reiterate the same problem, wondered if you wouldn't mind helping again! I can get email from mobile me on my HTC wildfire phone, but not send - just checking, when you say third party mail appl - what do you mean / which one do you suggest? I've simply input the settings I found online into the 'settings', hit 'accounts and sync' on my HTC. Incoming is fine - outgoing I get a server connection error. Thanks for help.
