Problem connecting to router over airport

Hey folks.

Ive managed to get myself a G4 Cube that ive put OS 9 on and an Airport card in.

Whenever i try to connect to my router through Airport it goes slightly wrong...

The machine connects to the router but for some reason doesn't get assigned an IP address. When checking the TCP/IP settings, the IP address for the machine is the same as the address for the router. Obviously this isn't right since the machine isn't the router and it should have a IP address along the lines of 192.168.1.X.

On my PowerMac G4 it runs fine, i can connect to the router, it gets assigned an IP and works with no problems. Does anyone have an tips or explaination as to why this isn't working?

Cheers
