Should I buy an iPod touch 4th Gen for playing games or not?

Hello everyone...it is my first time to post a question here on Apple discussions and do not know anything here.

I wanted to ask if i should buy an ipod touch 4th generation for playing multiplayer games with my iPad and other devices? I have an Android Samsung Galaxy Note, Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray and Apple iPad 3 and i let my cousins borrow them so that we can play multiplayer games like 9mm, NOVA, And Modern Combat but it ***** because with two different OS, it limits the games i can play with my friends. You know what i mean if you have both Android and Apple devices.

I'm planning to get the 64GB version of the iPod touch. Please tell me if it is a great alternative for the iphone; i do not have money to buy an iphone and because i just bought an ipad 64gb + cellular model.

iPod touch, iOS 5.1.1

I just ordered the 32gb version for precisely that reason, many of my friends have iPhones and we can't play games together because I have an original Galaxy S.

I still have a 2nd gen iPod Touch here and notice that the iOS versions of the same game often have more features and - at least the ones that aren't heavy as far as graphics are concerned - run a **** lot smoother than on my Galaxy S!

EDIT: I can't believe that this word (opposite of heaven) is being censored here *laughs*
