Hi sent my I phone 4s into repair as the I dont have the time to get to a apple store and get it replaced, just wondering are they likely to send me the same I phone i sent in back or will they just send me a refurbished one back? Thanks

You will get a service unit which could be new or a re-manufactured device. You will not be able to tell the difference.
Thanks for that the problem is that I am having signal issues hopefully when they are doing there diagnostics they will no that its not working correctly hopefully they wont send it back unrepaired!
You're not going to be able to tell the difference. I would say your chances are higher to get a new one if you have a high end model (64GB for example). I just had my 32GB iPhone 4 replaced and I got a brand new one (the alumnium felt completely new), but again, there's no foolproof way of knowing.

Hi OM47. You can also get the EMEI number on the phone and compare it when the phone that will be send back to you after the repair.
That way, you can tell if it's really the same phone. 
when you get your phone. if you want call apple care. when i got my replacement 4s phone by my carrier. called and asked about apple care found out i could get applecare+ on it! your mileage may very.
