Q: Purchased iPad 2 Apps Not Appearing On App Store "Purchased" Tab

This is quite a major issue in the sense that ALL my previously purchased apps no longer show in the "purchased" tab on the App Store. This problem also applies to my phone. Someone else asked this question and got a really inane answer from someone who said "they will come back".... when? They should never have disappeared in the first place. I've had friends open their app store and it shows their previously purchased but no longer installed apps no problem. What am I missing here? Is it down to a setting as to why they are no longer showing? Something to do with iTunes or iCloud?

This issue is really starting to irk me because some apps I had deleted from my iPad I wanted to re download again. These apps were PAID for. I searched for these apps in the app store and it didn't say "Install" anymore like they usually do when i had paid for it before, it was asking me to pay.... AGAIN.

Since when has it been a case of when you pay, and delete you the pay again?

My purchased tab is empty. It doesn't show a single app. It says "All of your available apps have been downloaded to this device" same goes for my iPhone. This ins't the case AT ALL. I've got only a quarter of apps I paid for actaully installed on my devices.

Can anyone suggest what the issue may be? A resolution? Suggestion?

Well, it seems that this guy at Apple completely misunderstood the case. We are trying to reach previous purchased app list on the App Store, not iTunes Music Store!

Hopefully Apple will release a fix for this problem before much longer.

Agreed. Mostly it's just an annoyance..

I think this problem started after I updated to IOS 6.. Can't be sure it was working  before.

It definitely started with IOS6 for me.

Also, everytime I try to open iTunes, I have to "repair" the software as I get a message indicating files are missing and it cannot open.

Did you fix it? I have the same problem, I have tried everything.. Sign in, sign out, change all ID data, turn on and off.. Reset date and time, nothing works. I can sign in app store, but when I get in I see only purchased app, but I don't see anything in featured app or charts. When I try to search some app in app store they will appear, but no icons appear in categories. When I scroll down, in left corner is icon Sign in, but when I tap on it it doesn't work. I don't understand how I could sign in if I am already signed in through settings. Any help? Please.

I was able to fix this problem. I believe there is a inherit problem which Apple links ID's between your Ipad and other Apple devices. If you created a new ID at any point that ends with the "@me.com", change it back to your regularly email address if that's what you used to log in to get to the app store.

I noticed when I changed it to "@me.com" I lost access to all my apps and music. Logged in and out many times with no resolve. When I logged out of the apps store then logged in again with my old email address, I saw all the apps that I purchased. Apple doesn't sync your ID's gracefully allowing you to see your purchases regardless of what ID you use.

They need to fix this problem, but once you've logged in with your old ID, you should be able to see all your purchases.

My email is not "@me.com" and never was.

The purchased apps show on my PC, but not on my iPad or iPod touch.

I changed my account information as someone suggested, but that didn't work either.

I changed it back to my original account information and still no luck.

I think it has something to do with the error I get when trying to open iTunes telling me that files are missing and to reinstall iTunes.  I do that but it only works on the reinstall, when I log out and try to get back in, I get the error message.

These problems only started with the installation of IOS6 which really should not have affected my PC and iTunes (but there was an iTunes update at the same time).

I don't have any account with@me.com. I changed back all my settings as it was previously, but no help. I can't view any featured apps, can't see anything in iTunes as well, I just see blank page with that bufering circle, it is just frozen?? Or something. I really don't know. When I tap on featured, categories or charts in app store it is just blank page.. No icons, only few words pop up.. Like paid and then bottom of the page with sign in, support and redeem.. But that's all. This is really desperate...

I didnt install iOS 6 and have the same problem. You think it will fix by itself? I mean is it some internal error in app store?

I'm having the same problem. I have an IPhone 3GS. I updated to iOS 6 and it started, however, I've read some say the apps are on the purchased page and if you click the page the app pops up mine does not even let the purchased page load. It kicks me out of the App Store. When I need to download an app and I've already paid for one in that catagory I've searched and found two and install was there. So the apps are inside the store, you just have to find them one by one. Which is very hard in my case. I'm sure in many cases. I've downloaded many apps that weren't as good as they looked and some that were wonderful but too large to work properly on the device I was using.

I do not have a me account.

Another strange thing that happened the instant I updated to iOS 6 was if I'm on the phone and I'm not playing a game or  touching my phone it locks and I called and made a report on this. I can't wait for the update. I'm so grateful for you guys.  I thought this was all my phone.

I'm calling to report the purchase apps tomorrow.

    POSSIBLE SOLUTION:

I had a similar problem when I upgraded from an iPad 1 (iOS 5) to an iPad 4 iOS 6).  I "restored" from an iCloud backup to set up the new iPad.  On the new iPad, I could see all of the apps currently installed on the old iPad, but inside the App Store I didn't have any Purchased apps showing up.

It turns out that the problem was with my Apple IDs.  I have 2 IDs.  I use one for iTunes and the Mac App store, etc., and a different one for iCloud.  When my new iPad was restored, it automatically entered my iCloud Apple ID in for iTunes and the App Store.

The fix was to go to Settings: iTunes and App Stores and click on the (incorrect) Apple ID (viz., the ID I use for iCloud rather than iTunes purchases).  From there, I could change my Apple ID to the proper one.

I suspect but don't know for sure that this problem occured because I restored an iOS 6 device using an iOS 5 backup.  The restore process was otherwise smooth, but the settings for Apple IDs are slightly different between the two iOSs.
