Q: Purchased iPad 2 Apps Not Appearing On App Store "Purchased" Tab

This is quite a major issue in the sense that ALL my previously purchased apps no longer show in the "purchased" tab on the App Store. This problem also applies to my phone. Someone else asked this question and got a really inane answer from someone who said "they will come back".... when? They should never have disappeared in the first place. I've had friends open their app store and it shows their previously purchased but no longer installed apps no problem. What am I missing here? Is it down to a setting as to why they are no longer showing? Something to do with iTunes or iCloud?

This issue is really starting to irk me because some apps I had deleted from my iPad I wanted to re download again. These apps were PAID for. I searched for these apps in the app store and it didn't say "Install" anymore like they usually do when i had paid for it before, it was asking me to pay.... AGAIN.

Since when has it been a case of when you pay, and delete you the pay again?

My purchased tab is empty. It doesn't show a single app. It says "All of your available apps have been downloaded to this device" same goes for my iPhone. This ins't the case AT ALL. I've got only a quarter of apps I paid for actaully installed on my devices.

Can anyone suggest what the issue may be? A resolution? Suggestion?

I am glad it worked out for you, but it didn't work on my iPad.

Although Apple says you don't have to enter the password for every download or update, I do.

    This is extremely frustrating.

Yes, I did enter all the information.

I am going to try again using a different card.

    I appreciate your asking.

Same problem, been going on for a while. I thought they would have fixed it by now. iPad 2 running 6.0.1 page just loads forever. I can however get to them on my iPod g3 running 5.1.1. Hope it gets fixed, rather inconvenient.

    Hello,

I do have the same problem. I followed all the steps I found on this thread but unfortunately it did not work for me. The strange thing is I have the problem only with my iOS 6.0.1 or 6.0.2 devices (iPad or iPhones) The ones with iOS 5.1.1 are working fine (I can see the purchased tab and it displays the previously purchased apps).

As nothing worked for me I contacted Apple's support and wait for a reply.

I am now suspicious with iOS 6.0... Bug? Unless my Apple profile is not iOS 6.0 ready yet :)

    Will let you know.

    Cheers,

    PO

I can confirm this is an ios6 issue.

I have 12 devices, all that are on 511 work fine, anything with 6 and up will not populate the purchased tab.

    Apple, wake up.

They are awake. Both my iPad and iPhone on iOS 6 show purchased apps just fine.

Odd everyone else that tries to go to the purchased tab just gets a loading screen. When I search for an app that I own and look at it it shows "Install" instead of the price. (unless it got removed and re-added as a new app, another discussion) So in that way I can usually find what I'm looking for but the purchased section was handy also.

"Everyone else" no. A few (a very small minority) seem to be having an issue, the majority of users are not. A couple things you might try:

    • Try a rest: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the iPad shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the iPad back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset.
    • In the Settings app under iTunes & App stores, Log out and log back in.
    • Down load a free app (one not previously purchased)
    • Wait it out a while.

Tried all of the above, as well as several of the other "fixes" offered here. It simply doesn't work.

Btw. Got a touch5g 6.0.1 for Christmas and out of the box it won't do it either.

The issue very likely has less to do with the device and more to do to with glitches in the last itunes server updates (and I suspect specific data/account clusters. Just guessing, since I have no particular insight into how Apple structures its account data and server farms).

Quite a few folks experiencing this saw it go away pretty much "on it own" when it first started, hence my recommendation to wait it out.

You could also, if you haven't already, send feedback to Apple here: http://www.apple.com/feedback/

As well as contact Apple support, since you are dealing with a brand new device.

    Hello,

I got a reply from Apple's Support saying they are currently working on my problem and they will contact me when it will be solved.

I just hope it will be solved soon :)

    Cheers,
