Q: Purchased iPad 2 Apps Not Appearing On App Store "Purchased" Tab

This is quite a major issue in the sense that ALL my previously purchased apps no longer show in the "purchased" tab on the App Store. This problem also applies to my phone. Someone else asked this question and got a really inane answer from someone who said "they will come back".... when? They should never have disappeared in the first place. I've had friends open their app store and it shows their previously purchased but no longer installed apps no problem. What am I missing here? Is it down to a setting as to why they are no longer showing? Something to do with iTunes or iCloud?

This issue is really starting to irk me because some apps I had deleted from my iPad I wanted to re download again. These apps were PAID for. I searched for these apps in the app store and it didn't say "Install" anymore like they usually do when i had paid for it before, it was asking me to pay.... AGAIN.

Since when has it been a case of when you pay, and delete you the pay again?

My purchased tab is empty. It doesn't show a single app. It says "All of your available apps have been downloaded to this device" same goes for my iPhone. This ins't the case AT ALL. I've got only a quarter of apps I paid for actaully installed on my devices.

Can anyone suggest what the issue may be? A resolution? Suggestion?

I had started another thread with same problem, I have an iPad 1 and iPad 3, both experienced problem all of the sudden a few nights back.  Both are Wifi only.  Same Apple ID, but different devices.  Purchases are still 'Invisible'.  So if you are reading this Apple, put down the Snapple, get down to the Chapel, and fix as purchases are still inviz-apple.

I posted last night that I, too, am having the problem with the invisible previous purchases - I say invisible because, like with others here, tapping the screen will go to the details page of whichever app is supposed to be occupying whichever area I've tapped.

I am on a 'New' iPad, 64 gig Wi-Fi only so definitely not a carrier issue......

I'm having this exact issue here on a brand new iPad 3 16 GB WiFi version. I can tap on some spots in the blank purchased screen on the app store and the iBookstore to see purchased items, but they're invisible.

I really hope this get sorted out soon...

Same problem here on my new iPad 2.  I can see the 'Not On This iPad' Apps, but not the purchased.  Nor can I see the Purchased iPhone Apps.  Not sure what's up at Apple but their standards have seriously slipped of late.  Not good enough.

Glad to know this is not just me. This tab shows up fine on my Iphone, my jailbroken IPOD, my husband's IPAD 1 (WIFI only), but not on my IPAD 2 (WiFi only).. But if I tap on the blank screen the window opens fine. What a pain. Hopefully someday it will be fixed.

I posted last night with the missing/invisible apps purchased not showing in the "Purchased" tab. Here are my iPad specs: iPad2, 64GB, Verizon Wireless but have never used a wireless plan yet...only WiFi, iPad OS 5.1.1, noticed problem yesterday for the first time but I recall looking an app up within the last two weeks. I really dislike wasting time with these types of errors/problems! I spent a lot of time yesterday using iTunes on my HP PC trying to see if some syncing, etc. had changed on my computer...obviously not a problem with PC iTunes or my iPad with so many others experiencing my same problem. APPLE, please help!

I don't know if this is mentioned or not, since the invisyapps are annoying.  If you Do need to install one and know the name of the app, you can still use the search to find it and just tap the upper left corner to be taken to it. Does anyone know though if apple has an iBug forum?

I will add my voice to the cause.   I have an iPad 1 WiFi only, iPad 3 Verizon, iPhone 4s AT&T, and iPhone 3' AT&T.  Only the iPad are effected by th the invisible app problem.   The apps are there, you can scroll throu them and tap a the screen and the app details will display.  You can search for the app and see its details, bit the list screen is blank. Not the linen blank, but a blank light grey.

I have signed out and in as well as,  signed out, shut down, restarted, and signed in with no effect.

Same here. iPad 3, wifi, all the purchases disappeared a few days ago. Signing out and back in doesn't help. As someone else said, if you do search for an app you've already downloaded, it does show that app as still having been purchased and you can just download again.

Hello friends. I am sure that what I am going to show you will probably clarify a bit the situation. When you sign out of appStore and go to Purchased Tab you could notice this writing. Please, examine the image (this is what I received as soon as I signed out of AppStore). Thank you.photo.PNG

@3667: read the post again. It states that when you sign out of the App Store and then go to the Purchased tab os when the error message appears. Under the same situation, I also get that same error message.
