Q: Purchased iPad 2 Apps Not Appearing On App Store "Purchased" Tab

This is quite a major issue in the sense that ALL my previously purchased apps no longer show in the "purchased" tab on the App Store. This problem also applies to my phone. Someone else asked this question and got a really inane answer from someone who said "they will come back".... when? They should never have disappeared in the first place. I've had friends open their app store and it shows their previously purchased but no longer installed apps no problem. What am I missing here? Is it down to a setting as to why they are no longer showing? Something to do with iTunes or iCloud?

This issue is really starting to irk me because some apps I had deleted from my iPad I wanted to re download again. These apps were PAID for. I searched for these apps in the app store and it didn't say "Install" anymore like they usually do when i had paid for it before, it was asking me to pay.... AGAIN.

Since when has it been a case of when you pay, and delete you the pay again?

My purchased tab is empty. It doesn't show a single app. It says "All of your available apps have been downloaded to this device" same goes for my iPhone. This ins't the case AT ALL. I've got only a quarter of apps I paid for actaully installed on my devices.

Can anyone suggest what the issue may be? A resolution? Suggestion?

This is when the error shows up (at least for me)

Signed in to the App store on the Purchased page, select the Apple ID: username tab at the bottom-left of the page, then select Sign out.it does NOT happen 100% of the time though but this is when the error page displays

Well, that is the EXACT procedure i have followed at least 4 times a day since I discovered this issue on 8/1 and I have never received the message. All I was attempting to relay is the fact that I do not get that error message. I understand that others have.

I did the same thing so I know they are there. I did get a message a couple of times after trying to log out and back in that it couldn't connect to iTunes store but I bought something so am really cofused. Also had a problem after purchasing some music, something about a mismatch in my a ct balance and wouldn't let me purchase another song but closed it Nd when I opened it again it let me. Although I never saw anything wrong with the acct balance. Got a feeling it has something to do with iTunes though.

I just talked to an apple rep on the phone about this and he said they are unaware of any issue with apps not showing up in the purchased tab. I think it's an apple server thing personally because my iTunes app store shows my purchased music and videos. I'm only having this issue with the app store on my iPad 3 which I just bought last night.

So to recap for Apple, started per thread, as early as June 22.  Affects all models iPad 1, 2, and 3.   Does not appear to impact other devices.  Upon trying to view Purchaed apps in App Store app, some get grey screen, some get an error message.  In both cases, purchased apps are not viewable, however the screen reacts to touch as if the apps were viewable, and opens selected app dialogue normally.

Anything else, or correct me if wrong.  It would be interesting to see if anyone is seeing there apps normally.  FYI - For this thread, issue started June 22, however I had seen up until August 1.

Unaware of any issues? Geeze, what on earth does it take for them to be aware of an issue. People have been reporting this for days now.

This is exactly what the first level tech told me about the "cannot connect to iTunes store" issue. I insisted on talking to someone in the higher level and she admitted that they knew about that issue and had a "team" working on it. She said it was an issue with the iTunes servers. That was two weeks ago. I would bet Apple is aware of this issue, too.

I got that error message when I pulled down on the screen to refresh the Purchased page.  Not every time.  But a number of times.

The same thing has happened to me here in the uk. I lost all of the purchased apps. I completely reset my iPad and had to download all my apps again. However I thought the same as you I would have to buy the paid apps again. When I reloaded the paid apps, I found that as I had already paid for them, I could download all of them again for free. No problem. Try it, it works.

I spoke with Apple Tech and he knew right away about the iPad issue of missing or invisible purchased apps and he called it *known issue* and then he said it should be fixed over the weekend..

Well color me surprised - just purchased a new iPad and specifically reviewed with the Apple rep how to get the apps purchased on my current iPad 2 onto this new one. Noooo problem, seemed so simple. So sorry it seems. Hope they fix it soon. At least I know the store recognizes me because if I do a search for an app that I've already purchased it recognizes that I have it and the store shows install as opposed to purchase. When I couldn't see the purchases items here I checked my iPad 2 and same issue.
